Battle of Fort Clark
Featured Artifacts – 1861-1862
Coastal battles in the region included those at Forts Clark
and Hatteras and at Roanoke Island in present day current Dare County. Both
resulted in Union victories.

Scabbard
Socket-type scabbard for a triangular blade bayonet commonly used by
both Union and Confederate troops with Models 1836, 1855, 1861, and
1863
rifle muskets.
