Battle of Fort Clark
Featured Artifacts – 1861-1862
Coastal battles in the region included those at Forts Clark
and Hatteras and at Roanoke Island in present day current Dare County. Both
resulted in Union victories.
The following artifacts were excavated from an archaeological
dig at Fort Clark:
